- Exploring non-equilibrium physics using optical tweezers under the framework of stochastic thermodynamics
Stochastic thermodynamics provides a general framework for the association of classical thermodynamic variables and measurables to the individual trajectories of a non-equilibrium system. The entropy production rate is one of these measurables that plays an important role in describing several useful microscopic characteristics of a non-equilibrium system in a steady state. Probing the dissipation of such systems, experimentally realizing using optical tweezers-based techniques, and understanding the effects of different interactions in several mesoscopic systems are my main interests to follow.
