Does stretching your muscle help in healing wound? A new step towards the puzzle
A new research finding by Dr. Rumi De from the Department of Physical Sciences (DPS) of Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata explains the puzzling observations about the orientations of focal adhesions under different applied stretches. The research which is published in Nature Communications Biology, could lead to further understaning of many cellular processes, wound healing, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine.
